If you are looking for a unique way for your child to learn the alphabet, then this set of kitchen placemats are just what you need to get started. Your children could get a head start on learning the alphabet, with every meal they eat. The fabric in these kitchen place mats, is unique with not only the alphabet on them, but a mixture of hieroglyphics, and fossils as well. There is a multitude of things that can be learned with this table mat set.. You could create a history, an archaeology, or just an alphabet lesson, or all of them, just by having these fabric placemats on your table. These kitchen table mats are 11 1/2 x 16 inches and are available in a set of 6. They are machine washable, gentle cycle, then tumble dry low.

These kitchen placemats would make unique gifts for teacher's, or a history teacher gift, or an archaeology teacher, or even a kindergarten teacher. The teachers could have something on their kitchen table that corresponds with what they do in school. They could also take them to school and use as learning aids. If you home school your children, then you have a learning tool at your disposal that is both fun and functional.

With this set of 6 placemats, eating will be a fun adventure each day. These kitchen table mats can be used in more ways then just on your kitchen table. You can used them as end table mats, bedside table mats, under lamps, under candy dishes, or even under knick knacks to protect the surfaces that they are placed on.

The main color in this table mat set is teal. Because it is a batik fabric there are numerous other colors in the fabric, like blue, yellow, pink, and lavender. The batik fabric gives all the colors their own shapes and movements, creating unusual color combinations. These great, back to school placemats are top stitched in lavender thread and the back is a natural muslin.

These unique, kitchen placemats have been lovingly handmade in my studio and are ready to ship. If you would like to continue to shop for more potential table linens, or placemats, including, housewarming gifts, you may return to the SewWhatbyMindyKay shop home by clicking the following link:
